NC ChoicesNC Choices is a Center for Environmental Farming Systems' initiative that promotes sustainable food systems through the advancement of local, pasture-based meat production, processing and marketing. NC Choices provides information, technical assistance, educational programming and networking opportunities for farmers, extension agents, processors, buyers, distributors and consumers.

 

 

Knife and Fork Spruce Pine

Knife and Fork is a restaurant that minimizes its impact on the environment and maximizes its impact on the environment and maximizes its impact on local economy by sourcing nearly all ingredients and materials from extremely local growers and suppliers. Chef Nathan Allen purchases Firefly Farm products on a regular basis.


 

 

Quilt Trails of WNC

 

Come and see the "Harvest Sun" quilt block located on our barn! Quilt Trails of Western North Carolina, the non-profit corporation that runs the project, has placed over 100 quilt blocks in Yancey and Mitchell counties. Each quilt block is connected, by its pattern name, to the history of the land, the building or the family.

 

 

 

Laureys CateringLaurey's purchases Firefly Farm products on a regular basis. Chef Brendan Reusing did wonderful work with us at our Farm Dinner in 2011. Laurey's supports local farms and is very active in promoting healthy eating in local schools. Laurey is an inspiration to our farm.







ASAP logoAppalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project helps create and expand local food markets that will preserve our agricultural heritage, give everyone access to fresh, healthy food, and keep our farmers farming. Early Girl EateryEarly Girl Eatery's menu relies heavily on the high quality local produce grown in the area by family farms such as Firefly Farm.

The menu changes periodically with the seasons, while the specials change daily. Made from scratch is the motto at the Early Girl, and their recipes reflect their background in southern cooking as well as their vast experience with vegetarian fare. Chef John Stehling regularly purchases our products.
