Why we farm

Farmer Cindy grew up on a small farm in the mountains of North Carolina. Her family raised Black Angus beef cattle and grew all the vegetables that they ate. In fact, she did not realize the goodness she had until she went away to college and missed the fresh veggies from home.

Fast forward to 2015, Cindy and her husband Paul purchased an established farm in Orange County, North Carolina, near the town of Hillsborough. The farm had most recently been used for horses, and before that cattle had been raised on the land. Mature pecan and black walnut trees were present as were many blooming trees and bushes. Flowers were abundant throughout the year.

A garden space, orchards and blueberry field were established and continue to be developed and expanded year by year using organic growing practices. We started growing vegetables for our family, and now we share the fresh and nutritious vegetables and fruit with our customers. We also have lovely fresh floral and seasonal arrangements, all harvested from our farm and woodlands. You can purchase our products through our online store and drive-thru pickup of your order on the farm during farm stand hours. Our U-pick flower sessions are available May through the end of July, featuring a wide variety of wildflowers, zinnias, Cosmos, and lots of sunflowers!!
