The Farm Stay Experience
Experience the magical beauty and tranquility of Firefly Farm, a 26-acre flower farm nestled in the lush countryside near the historic town of Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Immerse yourself in farm life. Stroll our paths and visit our farm animals. Take part in our seasonal delights: flowers bloom April to September, fireflies glitter at dusk during Summer while birds and butterflies delight during the day and Fall brings crisp air as the leaves change (as well as Witch Hazel's haunted barn)!
U-pick Flower Experience
Self check-in at the barn - grab your harvesting supplies and take a photo of the farm map. You may spend your time wandering the farm, going from flower patch to flower patch. You may also say hello to the horses, miniature donkeys, and goats. Even the chickens will come running to say hello. There are also trails you may choose to explore, including the pasture walk and the newly expanded pond walk. Bring a picnic and hangout on the farm. A portable restroom is available at the barn. Allow yourself at least an hour to pick flowers.

The Labyrinth Experience
Walk the Labyrinth - one way in, one way out. The path leads to the copse of trees in the middle of the meadow - a thin place to savor and reflect as you will. Take your time and walk, enjoying the quiet and beauty of nature. Let your mind wander as you walk, contemplating whatever comes to mind. Let go and be.

Fireflies on the Farm
Every Friday night is June (weather permitting), experience the magic of fireflies on the farm. We invite you to harvest flowers, get out your picnic and settle in for the natural fireworks supplied by the resident lightning bugs.

With our flower subscriptions (Tulip, Spring or Summer), you can have flowers delivered to your home or office. Another option is to pick up the flowers on the farm. Experience fresh flowers that will last and last. Let the beauty of the farm come to you!

DIY Experience
Whether you need flowers for a small gathering or a large wedding, Firefly Farm grows the flowers you need. Available April through the first frost, we offer buckets of flowers that you pick or we pick for you. Available for purchase online, and we request you arrange the date of harvest/pick up with Farmer Cindy by email.

The Workshop Experience
Join us for a two-hour workshop on the farm, offered on select dates: April 25, May 29, June 27, July 25, and August 22. Each session explores a unique topic, providing hands-on activities in a picturesque farm setting.
Perfect for individuals or groups looking to learn and connect in a natural environment. These workshops can be scheduled as activites for your group. Email Farmer Cindy with specific requests.

Time with a Unicorn
Yes, you can schedule an hour with our unicorn. Perfect for a photo shoot or for the princess’ birthday party. You will be allowed to pet the unicorn. Riding the unicorn is not available.
The magic of Witch Hazel
The Witch’s Haunted Barn & Pumpkin Patch
During October, Witch Hazel (aka Farmer Cindy) invites the public to experience her Haunted Barn. Thrills and frights await you as you enter the Witch's Haunted Barn. This quirky, family-friendly take on Halloween is sure to bring a smile to your face. Kids and adults alike, dressed in your best costumes, are challenged to survive this trip through the Haunted Barn! Come and stay awhile --- we are dying to see you. Open most Fridays (no-actors day) and every Saturday in October.
Volunteers needed to harvest flowers for seniors in need.
The Volunteer Experience
We welcome volunteers to the farm to help arrange and distribute flowers to shut-ins, people in hospice and seniors in care centers. Accepting volunteers of all ages, and minors accompanied by an adult.

Photography and Flowers
We encourage photography on the farm, and this experience allows you to bring a photographer on the farm for one hour and pick flowers.
